After moving to Winston-Salem in mid-2005, Melodie started thinking about finally pursuing her longtime ambition of becoming a Real Estate agent. So, after a fifteen-year hiatus as a mom and mentor to her three children that also included living three years in Harare, Zimbabwe, Melodie finally found the time to seriously pursue her long held dream. She enrolled locally in the real estate course and earned her license in April 2008.

Melodie is delighted to have recently joined the Prudential Carolinas Realty team. A native of Greenville, NC, she attended East Carolina University in Greenville. After ECU Melodie worked in the financial services industry for EF Hutton, Wheat First Securities and AG Edwards in Greenville. Her husband, Doug, works for R.J. Reynolds in downtown Winston-Salem. Melodie and Doug have three children - two sons enrolled in college in Greenville - and a daughter attending R.J. Reynolds High School. Melodie is excited and looking forward to beginning her new career with Prudential Carolina's Oakwood office.

Melodie has relocated with her family six times in the past ten years, including the three year international posting in Harare, Zimbabwe from 1997-2000. The entire family plus two Labradors were in Harare for the experience of a lifetime. In Harare, Melodie was involved in numerous volunteer activities with the Harare International School, Hartmann House and St. Georges College. She was also a member of the American Club of Zimbabwe and did extensive volunteer teaching in rural schools surrounding Harare. Still a member of Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church in Greenville, Melodie is attending services locally at Centenary United Methodist Church.

Melodie knows what moving and relocating are all about and looks forward to meeting and working with both longtime residents as well as showing off her hometown to newcomers in the area. She is detail oriented, has a tireless work ethic, a winning smile and a warm, friendly attidtude.
